attention to detail
These typographic beauties are merely the titles from Insurance Maps produced by Sanborn Map Company™ between 1880 and 1920. Imagine if we still paid this much attention to detail on the title of every thing we produce? I imagine we would have a lot less stuff and it would all be much better looking.

Love these! Hard to imagine
Love these! Hard to imagine all the time and effort that went into these. I just spent a few hours on a Victorian-era wedding invitation design for a client, and was able to bust out 6 comps in one sitting. If I had to draw it all by hand I'd be chained to my desk until next Fall!
