ben franklin's daily routine

It is becoming more and more clear to me that I am a person of routine. I feel best when my days follow a pattern.

In the past year I have complained more than once about having first world problems, but in truth I am thankful everyday for:

  • My family
  • New York
  • Old friends
  • New friends
  • My job
  • Random smiles from strangers.

just say no

you just have to say no

Sometimes you just have to say no. I find it extremely difficult to say no to people. Do you want to go to dinner? Yes. But actually I mean no, I would rather go home and eat by myself and not talk to anyone. Do you want to do (insert activity here). Yes. But actually no, no I don't.

I've gotten better about saying no, but my no skills could use some work. So ask me to do something soon that way I can practice telling you no.

rainbow parade

Friday morning, Jessi Arrington made rainbow magic in DUMBO at Creative Mornings. I must say it was the best way to start the day and it made me feel like the animation above. You can see more photos here.
